Their doors are open to the community’s youth, who are invited in to enrich their lives with Club membership, exceptional staff and volunteers, high-quality services and innovative programs, all at no cost.
Every day, the kids do the things in this “home away from home” that will ultimately make a difference in their lives. November 2017 – The Cure Starts Now
The Cure Starts Now represents something truly different. It’s not about fighting just one cancer, but the elimination of cancer as a whole. The Cure Starts Now believes as the experts do; that in order to truly cure cancer you have to focus on those cancers that are immune to conventional treatments, those cancers for which there are no treatments, those cancers that affect children and those cancers that are the biggest bullies. The Cure Starts Now calls this the “homerun cure” which focuses on cancer research to find a cure. The Cure Starts Now is not just another cancer charity, but the only cancer charity dedicated to the “homerun cure” – curing cancer, one child at a time.
Pediatric brain cancer may be the most important battle in the war against cancer. Experts worldwide believe that the strategies we discover fighting pediatric brain cancers like DIPG will change the way we fight all cancers. Through a worldwide collaborative effort The Cure Starts Now is not only bringing attention to DIPG and other brain cancers, but also identifying talents that deliver treatments at a pace unparalleled in the research community at a value that every donor can appreciate.
